Project Overview

The Chalmers P. Wylie VA Ambulatory Care Center in Columbus, Ohio serves as a central hub for comprehensive outpatient care within the VA Central Ohio Healthcare System, providing a wide range of primary and specialty clinical services to veterans in the region. Delivered as a state‑of‑the‑art healthcare facility, the center consolidates nearly fifty medical departments — including diagnostic imaging, surgical suites, and primary care functions — into a modern, patient‑focused environment. The facility’s design emphasizes accessibility, operational efficiency, and durability, supporting high daily use and the rigorous performance expectations of a major veterans healthcare campus.

G&L Associates supported this project with architectural metal systems expertise and building envelope coordination for exterior façade components integrated into the ambulatory care center. Through close collaboration with the design and construction teams, G&L helped ensure that metal wall systems and façade assemblies met performance, durability, and aesthetic criteria appropriate for a large healthcare facility serving veterans and their families. Their involvement contributed to a cohesive exterior expression that reinforces design intent while supporting long‑term functionality in a demanding, public‑sector healthcare setting.
