Project Overview

Lincoln School (K-8) is a core educational facility in Peoria Public Schools District 150, serving kindergarten through eighth grade in the heart of Peoria. As part of a significant addition and renovation completed in 2013, the school’s learning environment was transformed with expanded classrooms, a new media center, cafeteria, support spaces, and a refreshed entry that brings abundant natural light and connection to the site’s scenic bluff views. The modernized facility totals about 74,600 square feet and was designed to enhance student experience, daylight access, and functional space for a growing student body.

G&L Associates provided architectural metal systems expertise and façade coordination for Lincoln School, supporting the project team with the selection, detailing, and integration of exterior metal wall systems that meet performance, durability, and aesthetic requirements appropriate for a busy K-8 educational facility. The metal panels helped unify new and existing elements of the building envelope and contributed to a cohesive exterior expression that aligns with the project’s broader design goals.
