A 26,999-square-foot civic facade in Chicago, IL, clad in Centria FORMAWALL®.
The exterior envelope of this buidling features two colors of insulated metal wall panels creating a checkerboard appearance. Some custom insulated panel features include a steep sloped drain shelf, and curved pan assembles for the building corners. There are several products that are integrated into to wall panel joinery including Construction Specilaty louvers and sunscreens. There are also Kalwall transluscent panels that integrate with the insulated metal wall panels. All the integration of these various products produces a single source for the entire wall envelope of the building.
G&L Associates carried the Centria package on the 26,999-square-foot facade, from panel selection and detailing through procurement and coordination. Manufactured by Centria, delivered by G&L.

Centria CONCEPT SERIES is a single-skin, exposed-fastener panel line built on asymmetrical rib profiles that cast shifting shadow lines across an elevation. It layers over a barrier wall as a rainscreen or accent facade, adding depth and texture where the metal is meant to read as a design feature.
