CENTRIA FWDSHealthcare

Project Overview
The new St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon, Illinois, is a comprehensive 350,000‑square‑foot healthcare facility developed to replace the previous hospital location and better serve the Southwestern Illinois region with modern clinical care, expanded service areas, and an improved patient experience. Designed with a patient‑focused healing environment in mind, the project features spacious interiors, abundant natural light, and exterior design elements that balance aesthetic warmth with functional performance suitable for a high‑traffic medical campus.
G&L Associates supported this project by providing architectural metal systems expertise and façade coordination necessary to integrate exterior metal panel and canopy systems that met performance, durability, and aesthetic requirements for a major healthcare facility. Working collaboratively with the design and construction teams, G&L helped ensure that exterior materials and assemblies contributed to a cohesive overall design expression while supporting long‑term resilience and functional requirements critical in healthcare architecture. Their contribution reinforced design intent and contributed to the quality of the building envelope in a complex environment with demanding performance criteria.
