Daley CollegeEducation

Project Overview
Richard J. Daley College, part of the City Colleges of Chicago system, serves as a major educational and workforce-development hub on Chicago’s southwest side. The campus includes academic buildings, technical training spaces, and student support facilities designed to serve a diverse urban student population while supporting programs in manufacturing, engineering technology, and skilled trades. The architecture emphasizes durability, clarity, and functionality, with exterior systems designed to withstand heavy daily use in a public institutional environment.
G&L Associates supported the Daley College project by providing architectural metal systems expertise and building envelope coordination for exterior façade components. Working with the architect and construction team, G&L assisted in the selection and technical integration of metal wall systems that met performance, durability, and aesthetic requirements appropriate for a large public education facility. Their involvement helped ensure the building envelope supported long-term campus use while aligning with the project’s architectural intent and execution standards.
