NEWCITY Chicago is a large-scale mixed-use development located in the Old Town / Clybourn Corridor, combining retail, entertainment, office, residential, and hospitality uses into a single urban destination. The project was conceived as a modern reinterpretation of the neighborhood fabric, featuring bold architectural forms, layered façades, and a dynamic streetscape anchored by flagship tenants, cinema, dining, and public gathering spaces. The scale and visibility of the development required materials and systems that balanced architectural impact with durability and long-term performance.

G&L Associates supported the NEWCITY project by providing architectural metal systems expertise and building envelope coordination for exterior façade components. Working closely with the architect and construction team, G&L assisted with system selection, detailing, and technical integration of metal wall assemblies to ensure performance, constructability, and alignment with the project’s design intent. Their involvement helped deliver a cohesive, high-impact exterior expression suited to a dense urban environment and a complex, multi-use program.
